Our vision at Grace Church is to be a church-planting church. This means that our focus is less on becoming a large organization in Smyrna and more on multiplying congregations in Middle Tennessee and throughout the United States. Our primary partners to help us do this are Pillar Network and the Southern Baptist Convention. Below, you will find church plants that we are presently partnering with through prayer and financial support.
In 2021, Matt Gray was commissioned by the Harbor Network to plant a church in South Nashville/Antioch. Later that year, he was invited to do pulpit supply for First Baptist Church of Antioch, TN. It became clear to both Matt and the leadership of FBC Antioch that he and his church plant core team should merge with FBC in an effort to replant the historic church. In 2023, The Nashville Baptist Association launched an initiative to recruit other local churches to help in the replanting or revitalizing struggling local churches. FBC Antioch became the first church to submit itself to this initiative. Several churches in the association stepped forward to partner with Matt Gray and FBC Antioch with financial and people support to help Matt devote his attention to the church fulltime. Grace Church is one of those partners and is excited to support the replanting of this historic church that is much needed in Antioch.
