Grace VLOG 3.14.16

This video outlines 3 important announcements for us as a church.  Please view and pray about how God wants you to respond and participate.

We are in a great season at Grace Church.  We have been slowly connecting with families around the area and want to encourage and urge us all to remember why God called us to plant Grace Church here is Smyrna and the Southeast metro of Nashville.  Here are a couple reasons:

1.) There are many people who need to hear the message of the Gospel.  More than 80% of the people in our community do not attend a church on Sunday morning.

2.) There is a need for a distinctively Gospel centered and Biblically/Theologically Robust church to be present in this part of Nashville.

3.) Lastly and most importantly, we want to magnify the name of Jesus by planting churches.  This is the normative vision of Scripture.  To see the Gospel advance through disciple-making and church multiplication.

Here is our GC Launch Team Covenant that spells out our vision in these interim days.  Please pray and refresh yourself with what we are aspiring to do.

Spiritual Disciplines & Gospel Growth Resources:

*PLEASE NOTE* – The following resources are recommended to enrich not support your spiritual disciplines in Word, Prayer & Fellowship.  They are not unilateral resources.  The Bible is God’s gift to us, so lets “LOOK AT THE BOOK” as John Piper says.

HABITS OF GRACE – David Mathis – Click the title link for a PDF version or you can order a hard back copy online.  This is a great resource.

NOTE TO SELF – Joe Thorn – These are short Gospel meditations that help us remember the truth of the Gospel in varying areas of life.  I highly recommend.

4 G’s CHART – I have found the 4 fundamental theological truths below to be so helpful in reminding of me the Scriptural and Gospel Truth.  Click on title link for a little more detail on these truths below and how to imbed them into your lives.

  1. God is great – so we don’t have to be in control
  2. God is glorious – so we don’t have to fear others
  3. God is good – so we don’t have to look elsewhere
  4. God is gracious – so we don’t have to prove ourselves

Love you guys more than you know!

Grace and Peace,

Pastor Tom
