Prepare 2.14.16
As we are steadily moving through our study of Mark’s Gospel, the question we are forced to wrestle with is “Who is this Jesus?” At every corner, Jesus flips our expectations upside down. Jesus is not simply concerned with being a shock jock. He has a mission to accomplish. His mission is to declare the message of the Gospel and secure a new people for himself. As we read this gospel, we are left with the same impression that his audience often was left with….simple astonishment! This man is like no other man that history has ever seen.
